The problem with your argument is that it's predicated on the idea that our way of life is 100% good.
It isn't.
We have cast out the agents of nature and evolution; thus, our species is stagnating and degenerating. The rates of mental retardation and other detrimental genetic conditions are much higher in recent generations than they've been in earlier ones.
Similarly, due to the proselytizing of vegetarians, hunting is banned outright in many places, thereby causing the prey-animal populations to spiral out of control--because the wolves have long since been driven out.
In both cases, nature abhors the vacuum we've created--and your argument is, in summary, that we must sustain this vacuum, thereby causing suffering for man and animal alike.
